I’ve been a member of the amazing community in Peterborough and the Kawarthas for over 40 years, and the real estate in our unique market has always fascinated me. It’s been a fulfilling journey to get to where I am today, as my professional career began in hospitality, where I learned a lot from operating my own restaurants and pizza shops. I developed strong connections with people in the community and understood exactly how to maintain and grow meaningful relationships through exceptional service.
Over the last 20 years as a full-time broker of record, I’ve seen the market in Peterborough drastically change, and I’ve been able to help buyers, sellers, investors, and people relocating successfully navigate these shifts while protecting their most important investments, and helping them reach their ultimate lifestyle goals seamlessly.
While running my restaurants, I was also buying and managing residential rental properties throughout Peterborough. After seeing the real estate industry up close and personal, my interest piqued, and I decided to become a licensed agent. My passion for the industry took off and I immediately started working full-time with RE/MAX.
Why Peterborough & The Kawarthas Real Estate?
As my expertise around residential real estate and waterfront properties grew, I noticed a common trend in the local market: housing prices kept increasing, but the average service levels and client experience didn’t reflect this same upward trajectory.
I saw an opportunity to provide my clients with more flexibility, freedom, and personalized care—so I became a broker and decided to open my own office. Shortly after, I bought Mincom Kawartha Lakes Realty Brokerage.
Since then, I’ve focused all my energy and expertise into building the Roger Currier team, where I work one-on-one with clients throughout Peterborough and the Kawarthas and continue to provide premium service, unmatched expertise, and fair rates—whether helping a family purchasing a second home by the water, guiding people relocating to our town from the big city, or walking retirees through the process of downsizing into a life of relaxation in our special communities.
Outside of Real Estate
Having raised 3 very active boys, I’m a big promoter of the local lacrosse and minor sports community. I’ve seen first-hand how sports can be a positive outlet for kids, as two of my sons have become professional lacrosse players.
Giving back to local causes is important to me and over the course of my real estate career I’ve been proud to support the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, SickKids Hospital, Peterborough United Way, and more organizations making our communities a better place.
